For BDR046 Bulletdodge welcome Saytek to the label, delivering a suberb slice of dub tech house with his Neurotypical EP. The E.P. features three original tracks with remixes from Pig & Dan, Taylor & Whitehead and Paul Loraine!
The E.P. emanates tech dub, and this is seen from the offset with the track, Butterfly. Butterly grooves with an intense bass line, detroit style hook and colourful sporadic stabs .For his breakdown imagine dub infused with Pink Floyd! Very nice indeed!
Butterfly is remixed by producer Paul Loraine who creates a more stripped down affair, with a hypnotic side chained string and delicate useage of the vocal.
Next we have the Ritualist, which heralds carnival! This track has a houseier twist with Warped vocals, balleric toms and dubby pads to convey a stellar production great for main room madness.
First up on remix duties for The Ritualist is Taylor & Whitehead who provide us with a stomping house killer that looks to the past for its big lead stabs and to the the present for its techy groove. This track shouts out summer anthem!
We then are graced with Pig & Dans remix of The Ritualist who convey something of a more techno feel. In true Pig & Dan fashion we are presented with a thundering dark grooving affair, with an emphasis on the bass. A definate track for big sound systems.
Last on the E.P. is Neurotypical, which is Sayteks deepest track out of the collection. Its definately still a driving piece of music but with less obvious driving qualities. The rolling bass line and bright stabs present a solid affair!
