Another cracker of a release, with quaolity variation across the tracks & mixes. Both originals are superb, with 0001A the pick of the two for me, although both are class. ON the remix front, again all are great but Vince’s mix is really stunning, very definitely showcasing his ‘trademark’ fusion of deep/tech & atmospherics, while Secret Cinema’s take on Stomach Stories is wicked, really pulsating.

My god, where do I begin with this one!? It’s immense. One of those releases which covers every aspect of ‘quality’; from Carl’s bubbling tech workout, Dirt Crew’s sublime deep/tech version & Burnski who yet again proves his mettle with a stunner of a vibe. There’ll be an opportunity for me to play every one off this, so to get the wicked bonus vibe of ‘The Music’ to round it off is just perfect.

Raveline Magazine Germany – Nach den beiden letzten hervorragenden Veröffentlichungen mit Arnaud Le Texier, Matthias Springer und Brendon Moeller denkt man, es könnte kaum besser kom- men. Jedoch belehrt uns Bulletdoge Label- head Gareth Whitehead zusammen mit Tom Taylor direkt eines Besseren. Das Original „Tired Of Being Wrong“ wurde bereits auf der letzten Poker Flat-Compilation veröf- fentlicht, und die Remixe dazu kommen nun auf Bulletdodge. Hierfür wurden keine geringeren als Burnski, der alles in einem schön groovenden Deephouse-Stil prä- sentiert, Dirt Crew, die es wesentlich trei- bender in einer Mischung aus Minimal und Techhouse angehen, und last but not least Großmeister Carl Cox verpflichtet. Letzterer holt dabei mal dezent die Sommer-Techno- Keule raus und verwandelt das Original in einen epischen Floorburner. Als Bonus gibt es noch den Track „The Music“, der mit di- versen Retro-House-Sounds eine Menge an Oldschool-Charme versprüht. Am Ende gibt es hier nur eines: richtig feinen Gute- Laune-Sound.

sich für ihre lustigen Remixspielereien “Tired Of Being Wrong”, einen Vocal- House-Track mit verdammt viel Soul. Heraus kommen drei gänzlich verschiedene Remixe: Carl Cox zaubert ein deftiges Tanzstückchen aus dem Hut, das für eine ausgelassene Feiermeute sorgen wird. Im Dirt Crew-Gewand kommt ein relaxter House-Track aus den Boxen, der Spaß macht. Burnskis Version hat das trockenste Arrangement, durch kräftige Synthies geht aber auch dieser Remix nach vorn. Als Leckerbissen gibt es digital noch „The Music“ von Taylor und Whitehead. Housig schiebt sich hier die Synthieline ubers Tanzparkett, die Vocal-Loops werden die Fans begeistern. Ein Release ohne Fehl und Tadel. 8/10

And you though 24 Hours from Tulsa was a trek…deep house glanced by moonlight across five damp and wearing tracks
15 Miles to Moscow feels like a thousand on foot when Matthias Springer’s dimly lit deep techno delve orders you to hit the road. There is a switch in bass about half way through to have you upping your march, underhandedly funky all the way through, but only approach if your shoes are securely fastened, as the standard has been set for the rest of the release. Brendan Moeller’s mix feels like the sun is beating down harder to the point where it’s just over your shoulder, mistaking water for mirages of bloopy chords on a pretty uneventful (or drowsily focused, depending on your energy levels) NYC toil, swinging a super-sized pendulum from side to side.
Springer’s time-taking immersion of Borderdub Syndrome and the whirlpools of Legat-der-Dunkelheit, some acid fidgeting and bigger drums included, are only lighter if examined by microscope, maybe even meditative as synths curl, twist and echo their stammers from afar to make up the weight of both. Retaining a pressing heat, Springer remains a spinner definitely for those preferring high altitude marathons to sub 10 second sprints, the kind of Duracell bunny occupying dancefloors from doors opening to kicking out time.
Your ears may start to feel as heavy as your eyelids to the point where the headphones slide right off. Displaced Acid is, as the title suggests, slightly out of place when it comes to its 303 intake, added to a few more monsters moaning and droning and generally a greater injection of life about it, though that doesn’t mean the lead weights in its boots have been downsized.
